Your indicative steps
- 1Choose between a Part-147 course (reduced experience requirement) or an experience-based route in a maintenance organisation.
- 2Pass the basic knowledge modules required for category B1 (Appendix I).
- 3Gain and document the practical experience required by 66.A.30 (logbook).
- 4Submit the issue or extension application to the competent authority.
- 5Then consider a type rating to certify on group 1 aircraft.
- 6Obtain a certification authorisation from your organisation.
